Quality Assurance
The quality program at Ridley Aqua-Feeds is integrated throughout the business. The physical, nutritional and chemical quality and safety of our feed is tested and assured through every step of manufacture, from the raw materials to final delivery of finished product. A thorough Feed Safety program is built into the manufacturing process, giving our customers confidence our feed is free from potential contaminants and pesticides.
Laboratory
The laboratory plays a supporting role for the production team. Together with the Technical Manager the laboratory have the final say on finished product quality as to whether it meets highest standard expected by Ridley Aqua-Feeds. The laboratory checks all raw materials delivered for compliance with our specification and report anything that does not meet this standard. Rapid analysis and pre-delivery samples of raw materials allow for rejection of products that are out of specification before they are used.
Standard operating procedures (SOP)
Any procedure that is carried out by the laboratory is conducted against a standard operating procedure. This auditable process ensures that the testing conducted by the laboratory or the mill is carried out to exactly the same methodology every time. This ensures that variation between and within tests does not occur.
